Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026. Early plain-language version; a formal GDPR notice will replace it before general availability. Etaboards is operated from the Netherlands.

What we collect

• Platform accounts: your name, email address and a hash of your password; session metadata (IP address, browser) for security.
• Boards: the content you and your members create — posts, profiles, uploads — stored in your board's own isolated database and storage prefix.
• Technical logs: request logs and per-board usage counters (requests, traffic, storage) needed to operate, secure and — in the future — bill the service.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising, and we don't profile you. Board content is only read by our systems to serve your board, and by humans only when required for support, abuse handling, or by law.

Processors we rely on

Your data is processed by the infrastructure providers the service is built on:

• Vercel — application hosting and delivery
• Turso — databases (hosted in the EU, aws-eu-west-1)
• Cloudflare — DNS, R2 file storage/CDN, and Turnstile captcha
• Resend — transactional email (EU region)
• Upstash — rate limiting

Retention & deletion

Deleting a board permanently removes its database and registry data immediately; uploaded files are purged shortly after. Deleting your platform account removes your account data. Backups and logs expire on a rolling basis.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, export or erasure of your personal data. For content on a specific board, contact that board's administrator first — they control their community's data. For platform matters: support@etaboards.com.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies: your sign-in session and, on boards, an anonymous visitor id for presence statistics. No tracking or advertising cookies.
